I attended the Miles City Montana Bucking Horse Sale about a week ago.  I got some fabulous photos that I just finished adding to this site.  I had initially thought only about taking photos of the event but soon got interested in the people in the crowd.  I think they help give a good overview of the experience of being there.  I also spent about a week in Theodore Roosevelt National Park in western North Dakota and will be posting a gallery of photos from there soon.

I recently went to Bemidji, Minnesota to photograph the Second Annual Bemijigamaag Powwow.  The is one of the most visually stunning events that I work.  There is so much color and movement that it is sometimes hard to focus on any one thing.  Next week I will be off to North Dakota with another visit to Theodore Roosevelt National Park and Montana for the Bucking Horse Sale in Miles City.

Next Saturday, February 6th I will be in Aurora, Minnesota to photograph the Great Northern Radio Show for KAXE.  This will be the 7th GNRS that I have worked.  It is always a lot of fun and host Aaron Brown and the cast always do a great job.  Each show is done in a different location in Minnesota.  For a photographer each one presents a unique set of challenges.  There are different lighting conditions, backgrounds and layouts.  This is in addition to the continuous challenges of shooting around microphones, equipment and trying to catch the action without becoming too much a part of it.
